--First of all, as always... please tell us about your current duties!
My main focus is new business development, and I am currently approaching hospitals, restaurants, accommodation facilities, etc. Most of the time, the first contact is by phone, but I also try to learn as much as possible from the way my seniors around me, including those in other departments, speak, and steal their good points!
The product is called "MEO measures," a service that displays maps of stores and other businesses registered on Google Places at the top of the results.
The initial request was "MEO measures," but we also receive consultations regarding web promotion and advertising proposals.
I feel like I have a better grasp of the process than when I first joined the company, and I'm happy that clients come to me for advice on even the smallest of matters.
Other than that, I'm learning about contracts and how to make proposals by repeatedly supporting and accompanying my senior colleagues in sales.

--What have you learned from your seniors and superiors?
When making proposals, we must look at things from both our and the client's perspectives. We are repeatedly taught that it is especially important to understand the client's needs.

--That's right, I think salespeople who exceed expectations are the ones to rely on! By the way, have you ever made a mistake or been warned about something?
There are small details that I have to deal with every day while supporting my senior colleagues in sales, but one time when a mistake was made when sending documents, I almost cried...
I learned the hard way that even the smallest mistake can result in losing the client's trust.
I have reaffirmed my resolve to handle everything with the utmost care.

--I think that's an important thing to keep in mind. I think you've also developed a great sense of responsibility as a salesperson.
Do you feel there are any differences between now and when you first joined the company?

I think I've become better at switching on and off, and my ability to concentrate has improved.
On holidays and before holidays, I meet up with friends from my student days and spend that time meaningfully.

-Is there anything you would like to challenge yourself with in the future?
I would like to expand the range of products I can sell. Also, by next year, I would like to be able to close the deal by myself, not just hook the customer.
I think the appeal of GMO TECH is that you can rapidly improve your skills on the job, so I would like to gain experience and do my best!
