-So, please tell us about Mr. M's work history!
Mr. M:After working in recruitment at a PR company for about three years, I joined GMO TECH as a new graduate recruiter.
Until now, we have mainly been hiring general employees, so we wanted to try our hand at hiring specialist positions such as engineers.


--What are the key points in recruiting new graduates? What are the differences and difficulties compared to mid-career recruitment? What are some of the tricks you use?
Mr. M:In the case of new graduates, it is often the case that they have no experience in the type of work we are hiring for, so we ask them carefully about their personality, past experience, and what they want to do in the future, and we look at whether they can achieve this at our company and whether it matches the future we are moving towards.
Rather than being systematic, we try to communicate as individually as possible with each student.

--You certainly sent individual messages at the job offer ceremony!
Mr. M:That's right. I think it's very important to communicate closely with students and understand each other.
It's only natural to have some doubts when choosing the one company you want to work for among many others.
We also take our students seriously, and we want them to continue their job search until they are satisfied with the results.

--By the way, what is the atmosphere like at GMO TECH interviews?
Mr. M:I wanted to create a frank atmosphere rather than a formal interview.
We aim to make sure that students are relaxed and can speak as naturally as possible!

--2017 is coming to an end and we are entering 2018, so please tell us what kind of people you are looking for!
At GMO TECH, we aim to be a company that quickly grasps the trends of the times and continues to create services that are needed by the world.
To that end, I would like to increase the number of members who can think independently about what they can do and take action.

--It seems that the fact that this year's new graduates have a lot of work to be entrusted with is also motivating them.
Mr. M:That's right. Unlike large companies, each employee is an important member of the organization, rather than just a cog in the wheel.
However, with discretion comes responsibility.
I'm sure there will be many difficulties and hurdles, but I believe that if we work with colleagues who share the same aspirations, we can become a team that encourages each other and shares our joys, and we can overcome them!


--The same aspirations are important, aren't they? As a PR team, we're all united and moving in the same direction... I hope we can create that kind of culture. Finally, is there anything else you'd like to share, Mr. M?
Mr. M:We regularly hold one-day internships!
A feature of this one-day internship is that it is conducted in a small group setting with a homely atmosphere, which allows for a close relationship between the participating students and the recruiters.We receive a variety of questions about GMO TECH and job hunting, and we try to answer them carefully as much as time allows.
