"Google Places," provided by Google, is a free service that posts information about physical businesses and stores (addresses, phone numbers, business hours, photos, reviews, etc.) on Google Maps, making it easy for users to find them. Awareness of the service has skyrocketed since Google ran a major promotion in 2010, mainly in Tokyo. Because it displays information that matches the needs of search users looking for local area information, such as "area name + service name (product name)," it is a low-cost and efficient tool for businesses to attract potential customers, and is attracting attention as a new search engine marketing (SEM) method.
GMO SEO Technology's new SEO plan, "Business Support SEO," is a service for businesses using Google Places. It not only provides SEO support for the standard store website in Google and Yahoo!® searches, but also for store information pages on Google Maps. SEO support can be implemented using up to four keywords, combining the specified area name (e.g., "Shibuya") with the service name or product category name (e.g., "ramen" or "beauty salon"). The plan offers the lowest initial fee in the industry (as of April 11th, according to our research), with no initial fee and a monthly fee of 5,250 yen (tax included). Additionally, customers who sign up will receive a free copy of the "Business Support SEO Manual for Stores," which combines the "Google Places Registration and Customer Attraction Manual" and the "Store Website SEO Internal Measures Manual."
