~Supporting store operators to promote growth of local industries and digital transformation~
GMO TECH, Inc. (Representative Director, President and CEO: Suzuki Akito, hereinafter referred to as "GMO TECH"), a GMO Internet Group company that provides online customer acquisition services, jointly held a "Google Maps Utilization Seminar" with the Minato Ward Industrial Promotion Center in Tokyo on Tuesday, July 2025, 7.
This seminar was attended by 22 store operators from Minato-ku, Tokyo and the surrounding area. A survey of participants showed high satisfaction ratings of over 9%, indicating a high level of interest and expectations in using Google Maps to attract inbound tourists and attract customers.

[Background to the seminar]
In recent years, the environment surrounding store operators has changed dramatically due to advances in digital technology and changes in consumer behavior. In particular, as online information gathering and purchasing behavior has become more common, map apps such as Google Maps are becoming increasingly important tools for locating stores. Minato Ward in Tokyo is an area with many business hubs and commercial facilities, and attracts a diverse customer base. For this reason, developing an effective customer attraction strategy has become a key issue for store operators in the ward.
The Minato Ward Industrial Promotion Center actively supports local businesses in various stages of growth by holding seminars (past seminars have been held on AI and subsidy applications) and networking events, with the aim of revitalizing local businesses, thereby supporting the development of the local economy. Furthermore, as there are a wide variety of stores in the ward, support tailored to each individual's needs is required.
In response to this situation, GMO TECH held a "Google Maps Utilization Seminar" for store operators in collaboration with the Minato Ward Industrial Promotion Center. Aiming to promote the growth of local industries and digital transformation, the company is promoting the MEO (Map Engine Optimization) service "MEO Dash! byGMO."(*)Utilizing the knowledge gained through the operation of the service, we provided know-how on disseminating information and attracting customers using Google Maps, which is used by many travelers.
