(Headquarters: Shinagawa-ku, Tokyo; President: Yasuo Takabatake) has redesigned its store review and ranking site "Ekiten" ([PC] http://www.ekiten.jp/; [Smartphone] http://s.ekiten.jp/), which lists local stores in all 47 prefectures across Japan, on April 23rd to improve the searchability of store information and strengthen the matching between stores and users.
Renewal overview
- Addition of genres (from 8 to 14 genres)
The number of genres available on Ekiten has been increased from 8 to 14.
The newly established categories are "Pets & Animals," "Recycling & Second-Hand Purchase," "On-Site Delivery & Lifestyle Services," "Housing & Real Estate," "Weddings & Funerals," and "Outings & Leisure."

Overview of "Ekiten"
Since its launch in June 2007, Ekiten, operated by our company, has grown into one of Japan's largest review and ranking sites, listing approximately 443 million stores across all 47 prefectures, with a total of approximately 940,000 reviews.
It covers a wide range of categories, including gourmet food, hair salons, relaxation and body care (chiropractic and massage), shopping, clinics, schools, and places to go, and creates and provides its own rankings based on reviews and satisfaction ratings posted by users.
