Design One Japan Co., Ltd. celebrated its 15th anniversary on September 13, 2020. We are truly grateful for this milestone, which we owe to your generous support and patronage. Our company operates a variety of businesses, with Ekiten, the store review and ranking website, as our main service. With a corporate mission of "Invigorating the World," we aim to accelerate productivity improvements for small and medium-sized businesses that have yet to fully adopt and utilize IT by providing low-cost IT services to entry-level small and medium-sized businesses, thereby revitalizing the economy from the perspective of small and medium-sized businesses.
We are still in a position where we can barely reach our 15th anniversary, but with the support we have received so far in mind, we will continue to work hard every day to celebrate our 50th and 100th anniversaries.

■Corporate Mission and Service Information
Design One Japan Co., Ltd. has a corporate mission of "Invigorating the world." We believe that in order to invigorate the world, it is necessary to revitalize the Japanese economy starting with small and medium-sized businesses, and we are developing the service "Ekiten," a store customer attraction media, as our main business.
Furthermore, under the medium- to long-term vision of "becoming an accelerator for small and medium-sized businesses," the company is expanding its business domain beyond the store customer attraction media "Ekiten," which it has been developing up until now, to include the business improvement cloud service "ZENO," the low-cost recruitment service "Hiru Job," and the low-cost, high-quality offshore development and BPO business utilizing its Vietnamese subsidiary Nitrotech Asia, thereby expanding the range of services the group offers.
Going forward, we will continue to add low-cost support services that utilize IT to address various challenges in the value chains of small and medium-sized businesses.
■About our main business, "Ekiten"
In February 2020, our core business, "Ekiten," released "Ekiten Online Reservations," a major overhaul of the online reservation function that had previously only been available to certain genres. This means that the online reservation function is now available to all stores in all genres listed on Ekiten.
Due to the unexpected COVID-19 pandemic that occurred shortly after the service's release, demand for online reservations has increased in order to reduce waiting times and avoid crowding inside stores, and the total number of stores that have applied to use the service now stands at approximately 7,800 stores from 161 industries.
Furthermore, many stores were forced to suspend operations for an extended period of time due to the declaration of a state of emergency, but in preparation for the resumption of economic activity, Ekiten quickly implemented features such as a "search function for stores that offer takeout and delivery" and a "display function for our store's COVID-19 countermeasures," and quickly provided support for store operations.
"COVID-3 Countermeasure Posters" to be posted in stores were also distributed free of charge via Ekiten's store management screen and email. They received a huge response, with over 6 hits in the three weeks since their distribution.
The business environment for stores is changing rapidly, but Design One Japan Co., Ltd. will continue to support store operations as an accelerator for small and medium-sized businesses, no matter what the situation.
